Psalm 137 - May 2018

Breathe slow at first. Breathe long, and long, and slow.
Then set your eye upon foreign waters--
your home become a Babylon, no home.

State instruments are hanging from the trees,
bodies with holes, and bodies sprouting leaves,
and Love will lift the helpless, bullet-ridden.

Do not forget the lies you once believed,
lest leaving, you believe in them again.
Blessed be the unspeakable future.
