Oh unreasonable God!
I beg and counsel, plead with all the best
arguments I can muster, trying to meet
the measure of thy rule, but you won't bow.
You will not come to me, although I try
to alter the rules of Earth to make wrong right
and project my troubles on the truer way.
Thank you, Oh God, for your unreasonableness
which is real reason, that I cannot know.
I try to justify your world to mine
But you are Lord of reason even so.
