I have no mom to hug, and lean on; no mom who is interested in this creature I call 'me'
I have no dad to work for; no dad to look at sunsets, or to teach me patiently
I have no brother to goof off with; no brother to wrestle, and sneak away with
I have no sister to tell her she's pretty; no sister to laugh with and with whom I agree
Where is my friend who conspires with me; my friend who dreams dreams of immeasurable width?
Where is my friend who is seeking, like me; my friend who sees reason, sees logic, sees worth?
Where is my friend who energizes all; like a battery charged, or a morning song?
Where is my friend with whom nothing is between; my friend who would follow to the ends of the earth?
